BSH Majestic is a female blue shark (219 cm total length), that was captured by a Uruguayan fishing boat during its operations in international waters of the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean. There, a scientific observer fitted her with a satellite transmitter in order to follow her movements in real time. CICMAR is collaborating with DINARA in the development of this blue shark tracking initiative, created as part of an agreement between DINARA and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of USA), which aims to determine the movements and habitat use of blue sharks in the South Atlantic.

This map will be automatically updated each time a new uplink from Majestic is received.
